Language II on CTET Paper I is thirty questions in a second language, different from the one you offer as Language I. On this site that second language is English.
The comprehension half uses two unseen prose passages — discursive, literary, narrative or scientific — with questions on comprehension, grammar and verbal ability. Note the difference from Language I: no poem here, prose only. The passages test whether you can use the language, not whether you have studied its literature, and the answer is always recoverable from the text.
The pedagogy half covers the same ground as Language I — acquisition, principles of teaching, the four skills, grammar's place, a diverse classroom, materials, remedial teaching, evaluation — but it is asked about a *second* language, and the difference is the point. A second-language learner already has a first language and a working theory of how language behaves; good teaching uses that rather than ignoring it.
The practical consequence, and it answers a lot of questions: in Language II the spoken form leads, meaning comes before form, and an activity that has the learner using English imperfectly is usually preferred to one that has them producing correct English without using it.
