Birana TET is not the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, the West Bengal Central School Service Commission, the Central Board of Secondary Education or the NCTE. It has no affiliation with them and no endorsement from them, and it does not act or speak for them.

Board names appear here only to say which examination a page is about. They are the property of those bodies.

2The Board’s own document always prevails#

Examination dates, eligibility conditions, application windows, the qualifying mark and the syllabus are whatever the Board’s current notification says they are. This site reports them, and a report can be out of date within hours of a Board publishing something new.

Before you act on anything here — paying a fee, travelling to a centre, deciding whether you are eligible — check it against the Board’s own notice. Where we know a page rests on an older document rather than a current one, the page says so.

3Practice questions are not examination questions#

The practice questions on this site were written for it. They are modelled on the pattern and the standard of the real paper, but they are not the paper, they are not a leak, and nobody can tell you what will be asked.

Previous-year papers are a separate section and are labelled as such, with each question matched to its year and paper.

4No guarantee of a result#

Nothing here guarantees that you will qualify, or that you will score any particular mark. Selection is decided by the Boards under their own rules and their own cut-offs.

A score on a mock test is an indication of how you did on that set of questions on that day. It is useful for finding what to work on, and it is not a prediction.

5Study material and general information#

Study material is written to explain a syllabus heading, and the source it was written from is named on the page. It is a teaching aid, not a legal, financial or professional opinion, and it should not be relied on as one.

6Links to other sites#

Where a page links to a Board’s website or another outside source, it does so to let you check the original. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they contain or for what they do with your data once you are there.

A link is not an endorsement. It means the document at the other end is the source a statement here rests on, or the place the Board itself publishes something — not that the site carrying it is vouched for. One of the addresses candidates still circulate for the West Bengal Board was taken over by somebody else entirely, which is exactly why every link here names the document it points at.

7Advertising, and what it is not#

There is no advertising on this site at present. If that changes, adverts will be clearly adverts and will be supplied by an advertising network, which chooses them — their appearance here will not be a recommendation, a review, or a sign that anyone here has looked at what is being sold.

What will not change either way: nothing on this site is paid placement dressed as advice. No coaching centre, publisher, app or institute has bought a mention in the study material, the syllabus notes, the practice questions or the official updates, and none ever will be able to — what goes in those is an editorial decision and is never for sale.

8No professional advice#

Everything here is written to help you prepare for an examination. None of it is legal advice, career advice, financial advice or advice about your eligibility in a particular case, and nobody here is in a position to give you any of those.

Eligibility, reservation, age relaxation, qualification equivalence and the rest are decided by the Boards and by the recruiting authority under their own rules, which change. If your case turns on one of them, ask them, in writing, and keep the answer.

9Errors, and the limits of what we are liable for#

This site is written and checked carefully, and the editorial policy says exactly how. Even so, a date can be read wrong, a figure can be mistyped and a Board can change something between a page being written and being read. Material here is offered as it is, without a warranty that it is complete, current or free of error.

Nothing in this paragraph takes away a right you have under the law — in particular the rights the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 gives a consumer, which a line on a website cannot remove — and nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

10Found a mistake?#

Please say so. A correction with the page and the Board’s wording attached is acted on quickly, and the page is changed and dated.
